Description:
The aim of the subject is to encourage students to develop their basic computing skills for users. Some of the topics taught are the following: functional components of a Computer System, Microsoft Windows 2000 Operating System, Word Processor, Excel Spreadsheet, E-mail, etc.

Description:
An advanced course in computing skills. Students are suposed to know the basics of computing.They will be dealing with information management and presentations, which can be used by students in different situations. In this subject, some of the topics that will be taught will be the following: computer system information, organization and information structure, database systems, Access database, PowerPoint presentations, etc.

Description:
Students will learn the theory on the basics of Protocol, related to the business World (event management, diplomatic services, courtesy rules, diets, business trips, attire and etiquette, ¿), by analyzing different current practical cases. Students will apply the knowledge acquired to different events taking place in social life and relate it to the official protocol (form of address, greetings, flags, important figures, etc.).

9427 - Computer-Aided Design back

Description:
Learning of the necessary techniques used in different programs for computer-assisted design and drawing, such as Autocad. 2D drawing will be emphasized due to its importance in plan designing. Students will learn how to work with different scales and create cell drawings. Finally, they will be introduced to 3D design.

Description:
Are we aware of the fact that our sucess and failure depend on how we convey our ideas and the linguistic tactics used? The answer to this and other questions are answered in this subject where speaking strategies for everyday communication will be taught. Verbal courtesy is a key element in communication since it makes up social relations. In this regard, students will know the use and linguistic mechanisms, by doing practical exercises related to real situations.

9461 - The Great Mysteries of Human Beings back

Description:
The man is born as a being laking in nature, and soon afterwards, he becomes the centre of the universe; that¿s why, Pascal considers that ¿Man is but a reed, the weakest in nature, but he is a thinking reed.¿ In this course, the main anthropological questions will be cleared up: What or who is the man? Where does he come from? Where does he go? Can he be deliriously happy? Based on the latest anthropological studies and scientific breakthroughs, students will deepen the foundations of human beings.

9526 - The Great Works of English Literature Throughout the Ages back

Description:
Students will analyze important works of the English literature, dealing with different genres (theatre, poetry, novels, etc.). These works are now of paramount importance from a cultural and linguistic point of view (Shakespeare, Salman Rushdie, etc.). Lessons will be taught in English; therefore, students must have passed the subject English IV.

Description:
This subject provides students with the tools which are necessary to deal with project planning and programming, being industrial, civil or economic. The programming methods CPM and PERT will be used. Within this context, students will learn the trinomial time-quality-price by optimizing both the resources available and timing. Lastly, they will be able to monitor the cost control during project execution. The subject will be taught with the help of a computer.

Description:
Jesus of Nazareth is a tremendously influential figure in the history of humanity. In this subject, students will learn about his life, his preaching and work, by studying the existing written testimony (historical sources, cultural and geographical environment of Palestine, the contents of Jesus¿ preaching and purpose, his followers¿ view, the cause of his death, and resurrection). Furthermore, the credibility of all the work written on Jesus of Nazareth will be subject to analysis.

9545 - Current International Issues back

Description:
This subject tackles the main international questions related to the English language. The aim is to develop the skills which are necessary to analyze and discuss different current international issues in a language other than Spanish. Students will gain an understanding of international relations from the beginning of the 21st century, by deepening the information gathered in newpapers. Thus, they will learn the basics of general cultural as well as the most important challenges for the international community. Topics such as the peace and the study of the United Nations, the analysis of the main international questions will be considered: human rights, international terrorism, regional problems (EU, Near East, Russia, Colombia, etc.). To sum up, students will become competent in discussing in English; thus, they will voice a critical and open view on current international events.
