Podriatry is the branch of medicine concerned with foot disorders and deformities, apart from those beyond minor surgeries.
Podiatry is a relatively new degree in Spain, which offers great job opportunities as a result of the increasing social demand. A distinguishing feature of this vocational health profession is its full autonomy. The theoretical training is subject to the study plan 2000, and it is carried out in the university campus in Villanueva de la Cañada (Madrid) in classes of approximately 50 students. The practical training is carried out in the University General Hospital of the UAX university, which is located in San Blas district (Madrid).
