Industrial Engineering is the branch of engineering that concerns the business management and production, which are part of the industrial organization. This kind of engineering is broad-brush, due to its interdisciplinary nature covering aspects such as industrial, service, commercial and management applications. That's why, engineers must be duly qualified, and able to get used to any business sector and to find solutions to the problems that may arise.
The training in Industrial Engineering deals with a wide range of theoretical subjects and the specialization of some basic industrial disciplines. This training will be broadened by studying the general technologies and analyzing their vocational guidance.

| Annual subject (A) |
Core; 6,00 ECTS/semester; 5 Hs per week
Description:
Students will study the concepts of succesions, limits and continuity in a general concept of metric space in order to reach a deep understanding of the differentiation theory in a general framework. On the other hand, students will deepen in the concepts of defined integral and its applications, with the following introduction to integration on curves, areas and multidimensional regions. In the second part of the subject we try to introduce the student into differential equations, which constitute one of the most important topics of Mathematics, where interactions with technological problems are more frequent.

Core; 4,00 ECTS/semester; 3 Hs per week
Description:
This is the first computing subject of the degree, where the students face a computer for the first time. At the end of the year, the students must have obtained a global idea of what programming means, and must be able to use a high level language to solve medium - complexity problems. In the second part we teach advanced programming concepts, with which the students must face the solution of a medium - complexity problem.
Co-ordinator: Pilar Moreno Díaz
Core; 6,00 ECTS/semester; 5 Hs per week
Description:
The subject tries to be an introduction to General Physics with a special emphasis on the practical aspect, without forgetting rigour in the presentations. It is clearly divided in two parts: the first one comprises Mechanics and Thermodynamics; and the second one Electricity, Magnetism and Optics.

Core; 5,00 ECTS; 4 Hs per week
Description:
The aim of this subject is giving the student the basic concepts of Linear Algebra and its applications when solving practical problems. For that reason we divide the subject in two parts: on the one hand, algorithms for resolution of linear systems and matrix calculus; on the other hand, the study of the main algebraic structures.
Co-ordinator: José Tejedor de las Muelas
Core; 5,00 ECTS; 4 Hs per week
Description:
This subject tries to introduce the student into the basic concepts of Chemistry in a practical way, showing how far chemistry affects our daily life. It also tries to reinforce the essential aspects solving problems related to them. To establish a first contact with chemical experiments in the laboratory, complicating the tasks to be made in a progressive way.
