Degree in Languages and International Business Management

Presentation

Languages and International Business Management is a new degree taught at UAX to meet the current demands of the job market, giving students the chance to specialise in a growing field. The programme is structured around in-depth knowledge of two languages, combined with training in business management and international business.

At UAX

Part of the programme is taught in English, with subjects such as Business English, English for Law, English for Finance and Intercultural Business Communication. Other subjects include Marketing, Protocol, Project Management and Event Organising. Students also have the option to increase their language skills with a third language (Chinese, Arabic or Italian).

Lecturers

The teaching staff consists of linguists and experts in economics and business with proven experience, currently employed in companies relating to the career openings available for students. They attend national and international conferences and congresses relating to their fields, and encourage students to investigate for themselves in linguistics, communications and business.

Facilities

For Modern Languages studies, students can use technological laboratories with specific resources for learning and practising languages.  For the Business Management and Economics area, students are provided with workspaces with computer systems connected to the business management system: administration, personnel, labour, etc.

What makes UAX different

Students undertake internships in international communications and business departments. Their training is complemented by visits to ICEX, the Chamber of Commerce, schools and cultural centres in Spain and abroad, lectures, conferences and seminars concerning the business sector. Students can also study part of the programme abroad.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates can work as experts in multilingual communications in multinational companies and international bodies, internationalisation processes, multinational/multicultural business negotiations, foreign trade, international cooperation and development projects, cultural management, organisational changes or the internationalisation of business communications.
